Over the span of five decades, Mike Lord has been involved in baseball as a player, coach, and scout. He spent most of those years as a college coach and athletic administrator but also spent nine seasons as a batting practice pitcher for the San Diego Padres and four years as an international scouting coordinator for the Boston Red Sox.
Those positions have afforded him the opportunity to speak at numerous camps, clinics, and churches over the years.
After baseball, Mike embarked on his most significant journey as a leadership development coach for Integrus Leadership, where he has had the opportunity to counsel hundreds of pastors and staff, pouring wisdom and encouragement into their lives.
This past year, Mike felt compelled to pass along the most important lessons from all those years of investing in the lives of men by writing Trails Best Traveled, where you meet Jack Granger, a former football coach who walks away from a flourishing career to pursue the hearts of men. He buys a ranch in the mountains of Colorado and begins hosting weekend retreats where men come together and experience seven lessons that reset the direction of their lives.
